Billed as the Ultimate Showdown In Sports, the Canadian Friendship Cup(CFC) returns to King City from June 9 – 24, 2023! After its successful 2022 inaugural season this year’s CFC will be bigger than ever before with as many as sixteen teams having already registered to participate in the three-week round robin T20 tournament.
A whopping $85,000 in total prize monies will be at stake for this year’s tournament. The eventual winners will cart away $50,000 as their first-place prize. The second placed runners-up will be $20,000 richer, while the third and fourth place teams will each receive $7500 for having progressed as far as the tournament’s semi finals.
Staged as an annual celebration of diversity, unity, and community through cricket this year’s CFC will again be played under the title sponsorship banner of Smart Investments Properties, headed by its dynamic duo of Mohammad Moledina and Abhay Mathur. This year’s CFC tournament will also be graced by a new Platinum Sponsor, the Bat Engineer.
Under the terms of its CFC Tournament Platinum Sponsorship, the Bat Engineer will be providing Test Special Premium White Quality Balls that will be used throughout all matches. The gift vouchers for Best Batter, Best Bowler, Player of the Match and Player of the series will also be provided by The Bat Engineer as well.
This year’s 2023 CFC will also feature at least one new team, the Patiala Manchester Monarchs. The Bangalore Peshawar Titans, Karachi Chandigarh Kings, last year’s runners-ups Jafna Gall Centurions, as well as the defending champions Delhi Kathmandu Brampton Royals will also all be back in contention for this year’s mammoth prize monies.
