Actionzone: A Truly Remarkable Facility!

Additional layers of padding have been added under the turf to provide extra support to the knees and ankles of every player. The pitch has been set up in an area with natural daylight lighting for players to enjoy.
Actionzone’s hourly Regular Lane Rental fees are $45 plus taxes. These provide 12 Feet Club Grade pitches with 24 lights per lane. Premium Lane hourly rentals are also available at $55 plus taxes. These provide 15 Feet Test Grade pitches with 30 lights per lane.
The goal at the Actionzone Cricket Academy is to produce high-level cricketers. Towards that end Actionzone Academy’s Founder and Head Coach Sanjayan Thuraisingam combines high-intensity fitness with strategic techniques to build strong cricketers.
Actionzone’s cadre of coaches is comprised of have five outstanding and dedicated cricket former cricketers who, individually and collectively, strive to unveil the natural talents of their students while also teaching the techniques that will allow them to progress to higher levels of competence. In addition to Head Coach Sanjay Thuraisingam, Actionzone’s current Coaching Cadre also includes the former India Canadian national cricketers Balaji Rao and Brian Rajadurai as Senior Coaches, as well as Aaditya Varadharajan as an Assistant Coach.
Actionzone’s Training programs are available for student cricketers at the Junior, Intermediate and Advanced levels. The acquisition and development of the Actionzone Indoor Cricket Academy into the world-class facility it is today, represents a dream come true for the former Canadian national cricketer Sanjayan Thuraisingam. Best remembered for his outstanding bowling exploits which led him to become Canada’s top wicket-taker at the International Cricket Council (ICC) Trophy in 2001, Sanjayan Thuraisingam began playing cricket in India when he was a university student. Once he had immigrated to Canada he quickly became involved in local cricket and soon established himself as a regular member of the Canadian national senior team. He

was also instrumental in assuring that Team Canada qualified for the ICC 2013 World Cup. Sanjay’s passion and dedication for sport continued beyond his successful cricket career. As such it was no surprise to anyone that he began hosting coaching cricket clinics in 2013.
In his free time, Sanjay plays volleyball, badminton, and soccer and enjoys graphic design. In 2015, Sanjay opened a cricket/soccer cage in Scarborough to begin offering cricket coaching programs. He quickly outgrew the space as his programs continued to expand. In September 2016, he found the perfect facility to create a multi-sports complex. The Actionzone Indoor was established and now offers drop-in sports, rentals, and coaching programs.
In addition to its cricket progams and training facilities the Actionzone Indoor Arena also provides space for Badminton, Volleyball and even Natyakalalayam led dance sessions.
A truly remarkable facility that should be on every cricket player’s to-do list to explore just as soon as the threat of COVID19 has passed and life has returned to normal!
