Alberta Cricket Association’ s Player
Development Program’ s primary
objective is to introduce and develop
players to the basic technical skills
and training habits required for
playing competitive Cricket. While
there is increased competition,
our emphasis is on developing
complete and confident players
who are not afraid to take risks. The
training is instructed in a safe, fun,
and challenging environment that
matches the demands of the game,
with coaching methodologies that
inspire players to reach their highest
level of potential.
The low coaching ratio allows players
to receive maximum attention and
coach interaction that gives coaches
the ability to address the strengths
and developmental needs of every
player. The instructional training is
clinic-style designed to introduce,
improve, and master fundamental
Cricket skills for players of all ages
through various engaging activities.
Our philosophy is to provide all participating players with a positive and
fun learning environment with an emphasis on the fundamental aspects
of the game. It is our belief that the fun and enjoyment of the game
remains the most important element for success. The developmental age
of the participant is taken into consideration with regard to the content
and delivery of the sessions. The program aims to challenge participants
and provide player experiences that allow them to raise their self-esteem
and most importantly, experience the fun and enjoyment of Cricket.
